Four Categories of Religions

All we know that there is an enormous number of religions throughout the world 🌍 and each and every religions follower claim it to be the sole truth or at least the most evident truth. Have you ever pondered to categorize the types of religions? If not then let's do this job here. I hope you will appreciate and like this beautiful discussion.

Our today's division is on basis of history, dogmas and important concepts in the religions. Exceptions do exist and we will discuss these exceptions also,

Dharamic Religions

Notable Dharmic Religions are Hinduism, Bhuddhism, Jainism and Brahminism etc. There are also many other Dharmic Religions whose mention here will prolong the article. Most of the (discussed exclusively, we can indeed say all) Dharmic Religions were originated in subcontinent which encompassed today's India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and parts of Afghanistan and Burma. The important concepts of Dharmic Religions are Karma, Cycles of time, Nirvana, polytheism ( or just veneration to sculptures in car of Buddhism and Jainism), asceticism, a compodium of Scriptures, Avatars and vegetarianism.

Abrahimic/  Revelationary Religions:

Abrahimic religions are the most wide spread and popular religions in the contemporary world. The most famous Abrahimic religions are Christianity, Islam and Judaism. These all religions are strongly monotheistic in their nature. The whole doctrine of these religions revolve around a certain book and certain individual. More or less these religions are more universal in their natures  ad compared to Dharmic religions. The main concept of these religions are Monotheism, holy books, Prophets, Angels, dooms day , life after death and strong unitary moral code etc.

Indigenous Religions:

Indigenous Religions is a domain for a range of diverse and totally incompatible religions. These religions are diverse in their doctrine. These can be atheistic in nature, monotheistic in a loose way or polytheistic. Indigenous Religions were never involved or interested in conversion. These can be simply termed as cultural components which also contains spiritual aspects. For example African indigenous Religions in which each and every tribe used to have their own moral codes, deities etc. Chinese indigenous Religions or Japanese indigenous Religions like shintoism. The common values in this category are difficult to mention but usually they venerate ancestoral spirits, and have a strong tendency toward black magic etc.

New Age Religious Movements/ Syncretic Religions:

New Age Religious Movements or syncretic religions are those which are exceptional to all the three above mentioned categories. Usually these movements were formed in reaction to disagreements with these religions. For example one of the oldest religion whom I included in this category is Sikhism, which was formed as a result of mingling between Islam and Hinduism so it contains characters and elements of both these religions. Other examples include the modern religions, like Tenrikyo, Otomoo, Eckankar, Vardankar, Baha'i Faith, Subud etc. The most important concepts of these religions which are common among these include universalism, no emphasize on being the sole truth, usually they accepted monotheism and karma, and pantheism is also very common to these.

From Eckankar to VARDANKAR       Paul Twitchwell translated (died) in 1971. Before his translation (death) he made a list of 4 members to lead Eckankar but never chose a successor because no one was ready to take 12th initiation. Therefore Rod of Power was passed to the Great VARDAN Master of all times Rebazar Tarz, the Torch Bearer. Darwin Gross, appointed by the Eckankar board of directors as the leader, tried to keep the teachings on track but failed because he had no Rod of Power. After Darwin Gross, Harold Klemp became the leader of Eckankar. He changed the teachings to a large extent and thus, Eckankar became a deteriorated off shoot like many other paths and religions, of the true and great Spiritual Path. In 2013, the Spiritual Hierarchy under the direction of various Masters and silent ones under the direction of HURAY (God) decided to pass on the Rod of Power to Sri Allen Feldman. On October 22nd, 2013, Allen ji  received the Rod of Power and bec...

History of VARDANKAR, Part#1

From Antiquity to Eckankar     The history of VARDANKAR is, in fact, the history of its teachings and Shariyat Ki HURAY,the ancient scripture of VARDANKAR.Throughtout the ages a Living VARDAN Master used to be present in this world and give the teachings to specific spiritual seekers in a secrecy.      Shariyat  is the oldest scripture before Sanskrit writings, considered by many the oldest ones, but also before Altanis and Lemiria Shariyat was there. The teachings, well hidden and well guarded, were in Tibet in Golden Temples and spiritual planes.Shariyat was mainly kept in the spiritual city of Agam Des in Hindu Kush mountains in central Asia. Shariyat was the basis of all religions in one or other form. VARDANKAR teachings were first given to Rama who was the first saviour of the world.Rama belonged from Northern Tibet. He approached the teachings by Soul travel and an ancient VARDAN Master gave the teachings to him in Agam Des City. Rama traveled to Persi...
